Fix Power Window / Power Sunroof Switch.

If there's ever a time where your power window switch or power sunroof switch doesn't seem to be working, or only works if you push it JUST RIGHT, the problem is most like that dust as accumulated between the metal contacts.

All you have to do is take out the switch assembly,

(the sunroof switch pops out of the instrument cluster; the window switch is more tricky - you have to disassemble the door panel. Use a service manual like Chilton's to find out how.)

and find your way underneath the push buttons.

You'll see 4 metal contacts embedded into the switch, and 2 metal strips which are likely to fall out, be careful with these.

Clean off all that black stuff that has accumulated from all metal areas and replace them.

If you notice that the embedded contacts have quite a bit of wear on them (have large indents in the metal) the switch is likely to be unusable soon. You can try using solder on them, but I'm not too good with that yet.

Your switches should be working fine now.
